Madder Root

Rubia tinctorum

Halfpipe Beanie Pattern from Kay Krochets

Naturally dyed with madder root and color shifted to reach tonal ranges of purple, red and maroon with ferrous sulfate. This moody colorway reminded me of Kayla's shirt "Chns & Wips Excite Me" in colorway Oxblood Black which I got a few weeks ago.

Bulky - 75% SW Merino 25% Nylon | 3-ply | 136yds | 100g | 3oz

For your fitted Halfpipe Beanie, you'll need:

1 skein for baby, 2 skeins for child, adult or adult - large.

For your slouchy Halfpipe Beanie, you'll need:

2 skeins for baby, child and adult beanies, and 3 skeins for adult - large beanies.

Naturally dyed yarn will mature gracefully. Keep out of direct sunlight & hand wash when necessary with a gentle soap.
